Though she had suspected it, that didn't make it any less devastating. As James spoke and what she had once written off as the wildest possible conclusion sank in as the terrible truth of the matter Lily looked on, momentarily silent. Her eyes were wide, taking in his every word as waves of distress seemed to wash off of him in waves, though whether it was caused by the situation or her knowledge of it, she couldn't say.
At the mention of making an UNbreakable Vow for Remus's sake she drew in a deep breath, her expression pinched as she looked towards the chair where James sat, obviously exhausted.
"I will, for Moony's sake, and yours." Lily still couldn't believe it - any of it - that this was happening, that she can come out and simply asked the question that now seemed so obvious it barely required voicing. "What can I do? And don't tell me to keep away from you or I'll send you so many cups of tea from the kitchens you'll be tripping over them." He certainly looked like he could do with a cup at that moment anyway.
